Feature request: keep error message on the chat page

Please consider keeping keep error message on the chat page instead of showing a pop-up. They may go unnoticed and it's not clear what happened and why the chat page is not updated.

Please also keep the user's request on the page in this case as well (now it disappears for good if an error occurs).

Please display error details from the server if possible (like out of memory etc.)
