Seeking help in decoding

In order to decode some new message I try figuring out what happens with already decoded ones. I have these log entries for example

2024-07-02 05:08:15.509 [update info] received MS cmd: 70515010041a1a0280 / 091a102f111520200000
2024-07-02 05:08:15.512 [update notice] received update-read hc2 Act QQ=70: 26.102;Program;128;13.0;8.0;23.5;17;21;hotwater;32;0;0

I assumed the entries in 51..hc2.csv to apply which lead to a couple of rules for the parameters. I decoded like this (referring to the wiki description:

That seem to match ... partly.

• I have no idea what that Byte3 means or how it fits in the message
• The program state is not 128 but 16?
• The temperatures are off by 0.5 to 1.0 deg
• Also in the head 70515010041a1a0280 I can't figure out what the 04 and the final 80 should mean (the rest seems obvious)

My head is in circles. Any turns to unwind it are welcome!

Sanning the ebus specs, the 04 is the # of following data bytes and the 08 probably the crc. Still confused that the contents of the data bytes matches what is called id in the csv. Very confused I am...

Another one:
30fe070009001102000402070224 and its constituents are all all flagged like
2024-07-02 03:58:16.044 [update notice] received unknown BC cmd: 30fe070009001102000402070224
but according to the ebus spec these are time messages (p. 35 of the spec) which also contain the outside temperature.

Similarly for PBSB being 0902 an 0903 for eprom r/w which likely could be ignore, but they are not unknown.

On it goes. I'm seeing this in the info:

address 51: slave, scanned "MF=Kromschroeder;ID=W ;SW=3234;HW=0001", loaded "kromschroeder/51..hc2.csv"
address 52: slave, scanned "MF=Kromschroeder;ID=W ;SW=3234;HW=0001"

So my guess is that the slave 52 is my solar controller (since it lacks a config csv). However, ebusctl listen -u does not spit out anything from that slave. Would it mean that I have to poke in the mist and send poll requests to it in order to have hav it croak?

Doh! I finally inspected my Solar controller. And what did I find? No ebus connection!

Anyway I learned a lot about the ebus. Will see that I find a solar controller with ebus-connection...
