currently the sysextensions installed in /var/lib/extensions(non TB) and in the boot partition (TB) are visible and loaded by all the booting variants (active, passive, recovery)

Can it be a virtual mount based on what we boot? (use /run/extensions and mount on the fly based on what we boot)

There are ways to have extensions that are applied to both active and passive
