bug(developer): new key randomly appearing in touch layout editor #12737

Per FV team (@caforbes, @HopsAndHops, @xyzhelen) feedback, related:

While working in touch layout, a new key will randomly appear beside the q? I’m not
sure what’s causing this, but it happens sporadically like with the layers swapping.
o M has been having this issue off and on since May 2023 - on MacOS Sonoma
14.5, using Parallels Version 19.4.1 (54985) to run Windows 11 Home 22H2 OS
build 22621.3737. If it makes any difference, also using a Mac Magic Mouse

and somewhat related:

When clicking between keys in Touch Layout, sometimes ID is highlighted, sometimes
Width is. When changing the Width of keys, this can cause frustration as you’ll
accidentally change the Key ID before you notice. Not the biggest issue, but annoying if
you’re on autopilot and don’t notice until you’ve changed the ID of several keys.
