We moved volume group snapshot to beta while disabled the CSIVolumeGroupSnapshot feature gate by default:

We can enable it by default in the next release.

Just to confirm, would this be the v9.0.0 release?

We are moving this feature to beta while keeping the feature gate disabled by default in the coming release which should be v9.0.0.
So maybe we can make it enabled by default in 9.1.0. (This is TBD)

Discussed this in the CSI implementation meeting. We'll cut a 8.2.0 soon (moving to beta while keeping the feature gate disabled by default). Since it is off by default, we don't need to bump the major version. There are RBAC rule changes but those are also not required yet.

When we turn the feature on by default, we'll bump the major version to 9.0.
