Bug description

after using the GUI "Sound Settings" -> "Test Sound" -> "Front Left" (or Right) the audio output does not work. This is with a USB DAC. This bug occurred only after the upgrade to Mint 22.

audio hardware is Fii0 E10 USB DAC -

i.e. sudo inxi -Axxx shows:

Device-3: GYROCOM C&C Fiio E10 driver: hid-generic,snd-usb-audio,usbhid
type: USB rev: 1.1 speed: 12 Mb/s lanes: 1 bus-ID: 1-5:7 chip-ID: 1852:7022
class-ID: 0102

Steps to reproduce

with pipewire in a clean status (e.g. systemctl --user restart pipewire) audio plays just fine (e.g. a youtube video). in this clean status systemctl --user status pipewire shows no errors

However after using the GUI "Sound Settings" -> "Test Sound" -> "Front Left" (or Right) the audio output does not work. In this broken status systemctl --user status pipewire shows:

pw.node: (alsa_output.usb-FiiO_DigiHug_USB_Audio-01.analog-stereo-49) suspended -> error (Start error: No space left on device)

Expected behavior

"Test Sound" should not rain death down upon the audio subsystem.

Additional information

thank you for your work on this wonderful distribution.
