Modal dialog box bug #12597
Comments
I confirm, the problem is still not solved and prevents normal use of cinnamon on some devices. |
For some reason I can't add comments to the commit, so I'll write a response here to: What does it matter what you personally think about "Onboard", it could be another virtual keyboard from another developer. Why did you decide that only your keyboard can work? Have you even seen the design and functionality of your built-in virtual keyboard, do you think it is convenient and beautiful? It is inconvenient, cannot be transparent, shifts and forcibly changes the size of other windows, looks ugly! P.S. |
I'm not good at java script, can you just tell me how to unblock access to other windows when your new modal dialog is displayed? I, like you in commit 3bed0fb, was able to disable only the "lightbox". I will make these changes to the code every time I update Cinnamon and will not bother you here anymore. |

Bug description
When a box opens asking for password authentication the screen freezes and I can't use the on screen keyboard to input password.
A connected physical keyboard works.
Steps to reproduce
Do anything to open the dialog box like mounting a drive in nemo, then try to bring up or use on screen keyboard.
Expected behavior
I think you should be able to use on screen keyboard to put in password.
