Thanks for this great resource, it's been a big help for preparing my lectures on birth-death models. I think there are typos in the following equations:

\alpha=\frac{\epsilon (e^rt-1)}{(e^rt-\epsilon)}

\beta =\frac{(e^rt-1)}{(e^rt-\epsilon)}

where e^rt should be e^{rt}. It seemed funny to me that t wasn't in the exponent and I think the formulas in Foote et al. indicate that the latter should be the case.

Nearby, I think i should be an n:
