Show only the Minutes and seconds

Is there any way to show only the minutes and seconds countdown?

Yes. in file index.js you can edit timer function as follow :

if (this.timeOnly) { var /** @type {?} */ hours = date_diff.getUTCHours() + day_hours; return this.twoDigit(date_diff.getMinutes()) + ":" + this.twoDigit(date_diff.getSeconds()); }
else { return day_string + this.twoDigit(date_diff.getMinutes()) + ":" + this.twoDigit(date_diff.getSeconds()); }
