When I have a normal mouse plugged into my macbook, it would be nice to disable scrollmaps for input coming from the normal mouse, but keep scrollmaps behavior for input coming from the trackpad.

I recently faced similar issues myself. Unfortunately a Chrome extension cannot reliably tell between a regular mouse versus a trackpad. However, in the latest version I have made it so that you can disable "Activate automatically" in the extension's options, and then if you are using a trackpad and want to activate ScrollMaps, you can click on the extension icon that's to the right of the address bar. Would that work for you?
