Support for Beta branches of the game

With the release of a new patch on the Public test branch of Valheim, I thought it'd be fun to explore it with some friends. I think it's not possible yet with the current state of the project. I believe it's possible: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD#Downloading_an_app by adding some parameters to app_update call in odin/install.rs.

app_update <app_id> [-beta <betaname>] [-betapassword <password>] [validate]

Right now I believe the beta name is public-test with a password, that is mentioned in the patch notes.

Curious to hear any thoughts about this and if more people would be interested. Obviously it's very risky to run a Beta branch of Valheim on the server, so server admins and players should be aware.

@Rkallenkoot are you sure those are the flags for install/update?

Access the Public Test branch by right clicking Valheim in your Steam library, and then select ‘Properties’. In the new window, select ‘Betas’ and type in the code “yesimadebackups”. The Public Test branch should now be available for you to choose from.

USE_PUBLIC_BETA=1 should work

I see @Teletraan1 it did work at one point but steamcmd changed the order of operations for commands. I can fix that

@Teletraan1 solved it with #627 try it out with mbround18/valheim:sha-2cfb246. Will get this merged on through soon.

Hey,

I'm not sure if someone mentioned this already, but there's an issue with AUTOUPDATE when using USE_PUBLIC_BETA=1.
The server continuously sees an update, so it keeps restarting and trying to update.

No ones mentioned that! i would suggest turning auto update off while you are running beta
