Does this question already exist in our backlog?

  • I have checked and confirm this is a new question.

What is your question?

We are trying to quarantine the PowerApp (Canvas) as soon as it is created. Only option we have right now to use as trigger is the the PowerApps App table record that gets created. But there is a huge delay in creating this app record in the Dataverse table after creating a new app in the platform. Need more information on which flows are responsible to add records to PowerApps App Table and what is trigger? Is there a way to make this data insertion instant or is there a way to quarantine the app as soon as it is created?

Hello, unfortunately the kit does not have instant access to objects being created, there is no such connector / trigger in the product.
So its only daily that we collect objects.

We are not staffed to assist with custom solutions but I can certainly tell you the generalized path I would consider if this were my requirement.
You would need to do something in each environment where you want this. So presumably non-default envts for example you would not want to do this as you already have control over who can be in other envts and what they can do via SRs.
So in the default envt you could add a trigger that listens for whatever table they are stored in. I just looked and I couldnt find it immediately, the CanvasApps table does not seem to be it. But that would be the direction where I would start.

Thanks for this information @Jenefer-Monroe . Can you please help me understand how the objects are being added to the PowerApps Apps table right now?

Sure thing.

The driver flow runs daily and updates the Environment custom table in Core for all environments in the tenant: Admin | Sync Template v4 (Driver)

This triggers the Admin | Sync Template v4 (Apps) flow to run for each environment. It identifies new and updated canvas apps that need updated in inventory, and then calls SYNC HELPER - Apps to update each.
