Steps that have been tried but failed to resolve issue:

  • Adding registry key:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Blocked]
"{9F156763-7844-4DC4-B2B1-901F640F5155}"=-
  • Visiting Settings → Apps → Installed Apps → Terminal and attempting both Reset and the Repair options.

Explorer.exe was restarted after each step and my system has been rebooted.

I "resolved" the issue by installing the Winget/Windows Store version and installing the Scoop version.

@genchadt genchadt closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Dec 29, 2024
