In one of the YT videos it was mentioned about using a carrier board to allow future Picos to be used.

Would that offer new features (like the requested Web Interface) or better still, increased resolutions.

I am concerned that for an Amiga which in PAL territory uses 320x256 this is 320x240 and hence would chop off some part of the screen.... Would overclocking allow 320x256 or is that limited some other way? Or could 320x256 8 bit colour be offered as 8 bit allows 256 colours?

(unrelated)... does the designed 3D printed case allow enough room to install a SCART/Peritel socket so the RGB2HDMI could be used on more than just an Amiga? https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005007899944554.html has 4 styles of socket some of which MIGHT fit?

2024 was a year full of activities and I could not make progress on the converter but I bought to start a new model with pico 2 an a TI AFE of 45Msps (LM98714), you can help if you like.
The idea is leave 1 core go run tmds encoding and dedicate others to capture or windows mgmt.
It has more memory and cores to do the job

Would love to. Do I need to wait for a new design board or just old board with Pico2?

What about (all) my other questions

  1. Is overclocking a solution to bandwidth and hence resolution?
  2. Would 320*256 8 bit help avoid Amiga losing part of picture?
  3. Would a SCART socket fit in that 3D case?

  1. Yes, mostly TMDS encoding requirements, capture is mostly done in DMA and state machines.
  2. Yes, due to memory limitations, if you want 320 pixels wide you need 8 bits color compression. The 240 lines instead of 256 is due to choosing 640x480 video mode, hence 240 lines x 2
  3. I did not make the 3d model, was a contributor design (DefLepard aka C64iSTANBUL) you can ask him, anyways can be easily modified

Hello,
I am c64istanbul, I am not DefLepard. DefLepard is a different person.
It is a nice case but I did not design it.
Please contact DefLepard.
Thank you.
