Today I found that my extruder of my old dawg Ender 3 v2 would stop 10% into a print (about 1.5 hours).
As a test and while everything was still warm, I'd command the extruder to remove the filament which it did so not sure the extruder failed but clearly something was not happy.
After some searching around, someone mentioned that I could have a bad SD Card? It is old and has been used a bunch so this is a possibility right? I'm starting another of the same print using another card but meanwhile as a curious person I'd love to know how Marlin uses a card from the beginning of a print, until it is done. IE, from the moment I push PRINT until the job is done, how does Marlin interact with the card. Knowing this wouldn't make my world any better, but it would put a smile on my face.
Oh, and I've repeated the job twice to monitor temps etc throughout and did not see anything out of the ordinary. The print however is a new part for me although I've printed many that are almost exact copies. In an effort to eliminate things, I've tried using two different versions of CURA just in case. Both prints failed in the same manor regardless of which vs. CURA was being used and I've successfully printed using these versions before.
Thanks in advance for the education as well as any thoughts.
