Drag mouse to select area of audio?

I am wondering if there is an example that allows a user to say click on the audio track say at 0:15 and then drag their mouse to what ever position and then delete that section.

I know that sounds like an easy thing, but I can't seem to get that to work in the example codes I see.

I would expect it to auto remove that section of audio from all tracks if it's a multi-track.

Would love to see an example of how to make this possible please.
