No more continuous full articles view?

Explain the Problem

I used to scroll through full content articles from a feed in a single view (class splitpanes__pane splitpanes__pane-details if it can be easier to understand) and I really like this behavior to easily go through lots of articles in a short time, without having to click on each article one at a time
Since nextcloud 30 / News 25.2.0 I can't find a way to reproduce this behavior. I tried the different views and split settings (default, compact, reader / vertical, horizontal,disable) but nothing works.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Have lots of feeds on the left pane, each having many unread articles, each feed set as full text
2. Click on one feed
3. You can't have one right pane with all the content of the articles each under each other as it used to be.

System Information

• News app version: 25.2.0
• Nextcloud version: 30.0.4
• Cron type: (system cron/python updater/...) not relevant
• PHP version: 8.3
• Database and version: not relevant
• Browser and version: Firefox 134.0 Mac
• OS and version: Mac OS Sequoia 15.2

Perhaps you want to view articles in non-compact mode?

I don't know how you call it, that is just every article, in full text, under each other.

OK if it is not yet implemented. I'll wait :)

It's a bit of a disappointment as I use Nextcloud mainly for the News app, and I patiently waited a version of the news app compatible with Nextcloud 30 to update Nextcloud as I don't like to have older Nextcloud instances online (for security reasons).
But I understand, News is a free app, made by people working for free, so I don't want to be pushy.

Yes.
I miss this mode too.
As a temporary solution: Do not use the mouse scroll, but use the "left" and "right" keys, so you can switch between articles when using the "split" mode.

If you care about this view use the upvote button.

In my understanding the components needed for a view like that were simply not available, maybe will be in the future.

Since News has no developer team and no full stack developer patience is the only way.
