The "gaming OS" goal is confusing #1190
-
AFAIK the README was updated to add the "gaming OS" goal with criticism to mainstream operating systems (I agree and disagree with some arguments). I don't understand this goal because of the design of this emulator, it's adapted for PS4+ hardware and seems to rewrite the Orbis OS (FreeBSD) kernel in Rust. What "metamorphosis" will happen? |

I think this is the issue here. Our goal is not running on the PS4 hardware but to run the whole PS4 OS on other hardware like PC instead. Once this accomplished we will have a working kernel that already optimized for gaming since it is mimic the PS4 kernel. So our next step is to allows running non-PS4 binary like Windows or building our own SDK so people can port their game to run on our kernel. The problem is English is my second language so sometime (or a lot) I made a mistake. It would be great if you or someone else can help us fixed this. |
