Ideas for Google Summer of Code

In order to be able to participate in GSoC, we need a list of suggested project ideas for students to partake in. Ideas for projects should consist of a serious amount of work - enough to fill out a whole summer - but not something research related, such as an extension of the type system that hasn't been fully worked out. It needs to be a project where, after studying a portion of the codebase for a while, the student can begin work coding. Ideally, it should be a large, serious task that we would have liked done but couldn't find the time for.

Feel free to propose ideas on this page. At some point, this page will hopefully be migrated to the ocaml.org site.
