The bounds for each state's map is currently being taken form the sheets. We could possibly calculate this more accurately based on the zoom steps and the aspect ratio.

This would need a bit of thought. There is a possibility that Google Maps has a feature that could solve this for us. Reading through the documentation might reveal such an option if it exists
