UCSD's Autoware Deployment on Gokart

• The team has successfully built and run Open-AD kit container on an Orin AGX, able to run planning simulation
• The team was asked to create custom launch files and config files for their gokart. They were asked to create custom maps (pointcloud and vector map)
• Some of their original sensor codes are based on ROS2 Iron and need to be ported to Humble
• They will try out AWSIM on a separate machine. Per Mitsudome San's suggestion, the two machines should be on the same network and communicate through the same ros2 domain id. The CycloneDDS setting also needs to be updated according to this tutorial
  • On line6 of CycloneDDS Configuration:
    name="lo", "lo" stand for local and need to be updated to the interface with the target machine

Off-road ODD

• We are currently developing and exploring a new Off-road ODD potentially for space vehicles (rovers) and off-road racing (buggy)
• Utilizes end-to-end AV2.0 approaches
• Will provide more detail in the coming months
