The initial configuration page has 6 steps, and the 6th step is "check out the docs per language": https://www.pantsbuild.org/2.19/docs/getting-started/initial-configuration
That feels intimidating for newer users, and some of my clients have expressed similar. "Pants is great because you set it up for us, but it feels like it would be hard to do" kinda thing.
Even after I created a new repo today, I went to one of my existing repos and copied/pasted everything I needed.
Similar to
npm
,swift
,cargo
, and countless other projects - I think it would be immensely beneficial to have a one-liner to 80/20 a project.I proposed this a while back and created a sample API - if I can find that document, I'll post it here
