It would be nice to have even more options for image compression to let user choose how to do that, just like what Caesium does.

What options are you talking about? We have the "Quality" slider and I think it is enough.

While you drag the "Quality", you can see the size of your file right next to the preview, so you can decide if it is small enough.

To get a lossless compression, it is clear that you must set the "Quality" to 100%.
