Preflight Checklist

  • Microsoft Edge is selected in any "How do you want to open this?" box
  • I've ran the Cleanup tool and tried another install

Install Type

New Install

Install Mode

Active Mode

ℹ Behavior

Latest update breaks the MS EdgeRedirect.
It redirects the default browser but Edge Browser completely broken. Tabs empty and not connecting. Settings tab of edge not opening.
Because of Windows 11 Facebook and Instagram and also some other apps relies on Edge, they are not working either. Also edge cannot open pdf files.

This doesn't effects Edge Beta.

Thanks

Same issue on (Enterprise) 23H2 22631.3296

It's randomly working again, so that might've somehow been an issue on my end, but I'll leave this here just in case.

I can confirm on 22631.3447. Killing the existing Edge Processes before launching Edge fixes it. Hopefully I didn't just break my ability to reproduce but seems to be a temporary thing.

I can confirm it as well. As rcmaehl said, killing the existing processes fixed it.
