Before anything, thank you for sharing your work. As always very inspiring!

Would love to give this a try, but I already have a .bib file with references.
Would this mode be compatible with it, i.e., can it be used just to collect notes?
Do you have a hook to activate it only for your bibliography.org?

I'll push a lot of commits to hopefully ease usage. The starting point is the org file from which you can export (org-bib-export) to the corresponding .bib file. If you already have a bib file, it would need to be "converted" to an org file. I'll need to add such function.

For notes, each added entry has a note sub-header where you can add you note and there's now a org-bib-edit-note function to edit the note of the entry at point.

Also, one cool thing is that you can drop a pdf onto the org-bib buffer, and the file will added and copied into the library directory. This was my main motivation to write this mode.

Now I realized I need to write some documentation.

org-bibtex-import-from-file can do this and almost gives the right format: one would just need to take out the ABSTRACT property and put it into a subheading.
