- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups mild cheddar cheese
In median sauce pan slowly heat butter until melted and golden not browned, stirring all the while. Remove from heat.
Add flour, salt, and pepper; stir until smooth. Add milk, a small amount at a time. stirring after each addition. Return to heat; simmer 1 minute.
Add mustard and cheese; stir, over low heat, just until cheese is melted and sauce is hot. Serve over vegetables or use in casseroles
