Alternative to gmail for creating(?) a settings backup account.

Could I please request the ability to create a runelite.net account without having a gmail account? I'm unable to use Google's email service due to them having a mandatory requirement for a cellular phone number at account creation. Currently, I use protonmail, so I would appreciate it if we could choose what to use instead of being restricted to just gmail.

Minor note: I'm uncertain what to call the process of how one logs into the RuneLite website and client, since it's not exactly an account creation. It seems to be more of a 'use google to backup your settings' thing, despite being labelled as logging in.

This is, strictly speaking, a duplicate of runelite/runelite#2494, but it's a valid issue that we do eventually want to solve. runelite/runelite#12356 had been opened some time ago to implement support for this on the API and client side of things, but similar support would need to be added on the site.
