talk about tapes vs. disks.

Fact check this:
On a tape, an fs has less responsibility. It basically just marks the start and end of a sequence of bytes and gives it a name? Permissions are enforced physically? How was a certain file located on a tape? By cueing? (on the C64 datasette, we took note of the tape drive's analog counter value)
