I have been building pet projects for a while now and I wanted to experience contributing to large, impactful projects. I came across sktime while working on a hackathon where we needed to use time-series forecasting to predict the price of agricultural commodities in the Indian market and from there I found about the mentorship program and I realised that it would be a great opportunity since it can systematically help me get comfortable contributing to large projects and working in teams.
What topics are you working on?
I am currently working to interface Time-LLM in sktime by vendoring.
I want to be comfortable working and understanding large codebase and be able to implement research papers in code.
What's next for you after the mentorship program?
Hopefully, I want to stay in the sktime community and keep contributing and then start contributing to other core machine learning libraries as well that can help me grow in my career.
