Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?
I joined sktime's mentorship program to gain hands-on experience in collaborative software development within an open-source environment. I am excited to contribute to improving sktime while learning best practices in coding and teamwork.
As a machine learning enthusiast, I am always eager to explore different algorithms and techniques. Contributing to sktime provides an excellent opportunity to implement and understand various methods, especially in time series forecasting. The open-source nature of sktime allows me to develop these skills while achieving my learning goals with the guidance of experienced mentors.
Through mentorship, I aim to enhance my technical skills, gain insights into best practices, and collaborate with experts, fostering growth as a developer and advancing impactful contributions to the community.
What topics are you working on?
Right now I will be working on some forecasters in sktime and pytorch-forecasting.
So Far i have worked on these issues:
learning about deep learning in python, LLM and cutting-edge AI
use and contribution to sktime, open source
What's next for you after the mentorship program?
Keep contributing to sktime, and be one of the mentee for the upcoming programme.
Apply for Full-time Machine Learning Engineer roles, and get selected in one.
