Floorplan editor for project

I have a great idea for managing the map files.
Map the integers of the layout to cell styles, and let the user work colors to ready the map.
Then read/write the files.
I have copious prior art.

Im not sure how this differs from what is built already? You want to add a map editor?

I thought you wanted to add a map editor to let the user craft new maps. I don't think it's central to the project at all, and not important.

We can follow the game of life example and do an editor within the application, that would be cool
