Thank you for your interesting work on the metadata checking tool and providing an free online webservice for that as well!

We tested the app with the 10 DOIs from Wiley hybrid journals in Q2/2019 with corresponding author from U of Mannheim. This DOIs was part of data just submitted to the openAPC some days ago.

The app worked fine and created a test report and sent it to the email adress, also some visual feedback that something is in processing was missing. Let me indicates some points which might be easy to fix:

  1. With multiple authors it is not clear for me what "has ORCID" should mean, e.g. the DOI 10.1002/mma.6121 evaluates to TRUE also only for 2 of the 3 authors an ORCID is saved in the Crossref data.

  2. The TDM check counts the article more than once if there are multiple links for a DOI and format, e.g. the DOI from above cf
    grafik
    grafik

  3. On the summary page it says that no DOI have been found in openAPC

grafik

but all our DOI are listed in the corresponding tab of the excel sheet:

grafik

I thought that maybe this test report is helpful for you.

thanks so much for the thorough report @zuphilip -- this is exactly what we were hoping for.

I'm going to close this in favor of three separate issues #66 #67 and #64 and have CCed you on all of those.
