Performance drop going from official version to alpha

I've noticed that going from the official version of Swagger-UI to the alpha version that there is a noticeable performance drop when clicking on each endpoint and viewing it's contents (the loading icon hangs for a long time, especially when clicking on multiple definitions). Additionally, when I move to another chrome tab and come back, all of the endpoints I inspected are folded again. Is this a known issue for the alpha version of Swagger UI? Additionally, is there a limit to how big my spec can be?

For reference, the spec that I'm using is a large definition (roughly 120,000 lines in the spec and around 250 paths).
