Please consider changing

sysklogd/src/syslogd.c

Lines 1514 to 1518 in 8e230d3

    
           now = time(NULL); 
        
           if (gettimeofday(&tv, NULL) == -1) { 
        
           	tv.tv_sec  = time(NULL); 
        
           	tv.tv_usec = 0; 
        
           }

to

				if (gettimeofday(&tv, NULL) == -1) {
					tv.tv_sec  = time(NULL);
					tv.tv_usec = 0;
				}
				now = tv.tv_sec;

which should improve consistency and might save one time(2) call.
