You seem to have multiple devices connected, as there were some more than one device/emulator errors early on. Make sure you disconnect all adb and fastboot devices and kill all running android emulators. Run adb devices and sudo fastboot devices in the terminal to be sure.

OK, I think this is the emulator, I somehow assumed the default onboard emulator would be accounted for, my mistake / this can be resolved.
