VisIt How can I map and add other source data to the same drawing?

Hello, I want to use VisIt to draw the following figure. I don't know how to map the search lattice node and its FOS value to the entire terrain. I have tried many times but still can't solve this problem. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Thank you.

This is complicated with VisIt due to the fact that I don't think we read any of the formats involved natively. So, you wind up having to use the PlainText reader, setting different options for each case. Then, because that reader doesn't really handle any metadata, you wind up having to inform VisIt with more details about how to handle the data via the use of various Operators.

Below, I have taken my best shot at doing this in VisIt. To read the 3D cloud data, I set PlainText reader settings as...

1. check the box for First row has variable names
2. Column for X to 0
3. Column for Y to 1
4. Column for Z to 2

For the other two files, Set PlainText option as you see them in the screen capture below. Next, the terrain is read as a 2D image-like dataset. To convert it to 3D and to have it occupy the true 3D dimensions of the dataset, I needed to apply Elevate operator. But, one column of elevation data appeared bad and to remove it I used Index Select operator as shown in screen capture (I dunno why it set 106 for J dimension. I accidentally changed that value and just set it to a value larger than the max J dimension in the dataset). Finally, I need to translate and scale using Transform operator and the metadata in the top of the two .asc files. You can see the settings I specified for that. However, the Z translation appeared really off then, relative to the point cloud data and I needed to adjust it downwards quite a bit (actual value a total guess on my part), to get an image like yous. Finally, I couldn't find a matching color table and didn't want to take time to try to create one. So, I just found one that showed some of the same contour levels.

In fact, the cloud map values displayed on the topographic map come from the R_sthel_fos3d_out.asc data, which contains all the safety factor ranges and corresponds to the F_Bish column in the R_sthel_critfoslattice_out.3D file.

The actual issue is how to add the F_Bish values from R_sthel_fos3d_out.asc to the entire terrain. It actually looks similar to the 2D graphic rendered below in ArcGis.

Try modifying the session file so that any paths to the session file are the same as the path to the session file on your machine.

Another way to accomplish what @JustinPrivitera said:
Choose File->Restore session with sources from the gui, and a wizard will open allowing you to replace the data files with the correct ones on your system.
Once that is complete, you can File->Save session and you won't need to do it again.

I found that the latest version of VisIt cannot draw images on Windows, but version 3.3 can. Hope this will help the VisIt team improve it. Thank you.
