Note: I did reach out to this dev about this issue [betterdisplay.app redirecting to displaybuddy.app] multiple times and via multiple channels to try to reconcile but got no response. There is a slim chance however that this is all just a big misunderstanding, nothing malicious - I welcome contact from sids7 and hope to come to an agreement regarding the snatched domain. If this happens, I'll post an update of course.

UPDATE: DisplayBuddy's dev contacted me, honestly apologized, explained that taking the betterdisplay.app domain and redirecting it to his site was simply an unwise marketing decision sometime back, him not responding sooner was having some off-line time. He also stopped the redirect UPDATE: the domain is now redirected to betterdisplay.pro. I really appreciate him reaching out and I consider the dispute about the domain redirect resolved.

We do appreciate each other's work and are in good standing with each other.

To prevent misunderstandings, I updated the initial post to be a simple/neutral comparison of features without elaborating on the original domain dispute and also removed some of the additional discussions that are now out of date. :)

can the apps work side by side?

I think so. If DisplayBuddy uses color table adjustments for software control, you might need to disable that in one of the apps though.
