Samsung C34J79 & U32R591 monitors are not switching inputs / How to retain control after switching

Hi, I have an intel mac mini 2018 with an amd wx 9100 in an eGPU.
I have 6 monitors set up and I was hoping to use BetterDisplay (which is awesome!) to be able to switch individual monitors between the mac mini and a dell workstation with a nvidia 4090.

The dell monitors switch from the app.
Neither Samsung C34J79 nor the Samsung U32R591 switch inputs.
I have tried the samsung toggles and they do not work either.

Any ideas?

Also, do I need to add BetterDisplay to the dell as well to switch back, or is there a way to keep the communciation from the mac going via usb or thunderbolt or something?

Not all displays support input switching from all inputs and to all inputs, and it is highly display hardware dependent whether the disply continues to listen to DDC I2C commands from currently not active inputs (some do this on specific ports only).
