Hmm. This did not come up until now but it can indeed be an issue. The audio device can't be disabled but the app could programmatically change the default output device (I think), however if there are multiple devices it is not clear which one the app should select. Not entirely sure how to proceed with this. :) I think most users simply don't select a display as default audio device that is disabled from time to time (since that obviously means loosing audio which might not be the intended effect). |

BD allows a display to be disconnected, or "powered off" via a switch in the menu (usually on the menu header). However when a display is switched off, the audio output is still present in macOS.
Any way to also redirect the audio to a fallback device (e.g. internal speaker) like if a display is physically disconnected, even when the display is switched off in the software?
Tried to go through all current options in BD but haven't see anything related. So does GitHub issues and discussions.
