Hi everybody,

my system is Linux/Lubuntu 18.04.5 LTS, 64 bit.

I´ve successfully installed bucklespring and theoretically it works fine. There´s just the problem of lag.

When pressing any key the sound takes about 1/4 to 1/2 of a second to be played which is rather irritating.
I also created the file ~/.alsoftrc with this content:

period_size = 32
periods = 4

Alas it doesn´t seem to have any effect at all.

Any ideas what to try next?

Thanks a lot in advance.
Greetings.
Rosika

Try looking into reducing latency on the Pulseaudio side of things.

@mcilrain:

Hi and thanks a lot for your answer.
Sounds like a good idea. Yet I´m still unsure as how to proceed. Seems I´ll have to do some reading on the subject of Pulseaudio.

Many greetings.
Rosika

I have a similar issue, however other apps are very responsive to inputs, buckle lags. I don't think it's a pulseaudio problem.
