Using the multiple module to scan a https service with this config:

[http]
name          = "https"
trigger       = "https"
endpoint      = "/"
max-redirects = 0
use-https     = true

The output contains:

"data": {
    "https": {
      "status": "application-error",
      "protocol": "http",
      "result": {
        "response": {
          "status_line": "301 Moved Permanently",
          "status_code": 301,

Shouldn't the status be "success" instead of "application-error" ? It didn't follow the redirect as I didn't want it to, but this still seems like a success to me. I got the certs and banner information I wanted...

Yeah, I think so too. I have the start of a PR that pokes at some of the issues around redirects, but haven't made the time to go and do some testing at scale.
