The point of CMake was that I wouldn't have to do this, but people are either ambivalent to or scared of CMake, so due to popular demand I've ported them to Alma9 on the GPVMs.
The spack backend is a bit janky, but it should Just Work™ the same way it used to, i.e. source setup.sh and then make.
setup.sh has been renamed to setup_FNAL.sh, to make it clearly FNAL GPVM specific. May add a more generic setup.sh in future for more normal usecases.
