Katalin gained her bachelor’s degree in mathematics in Budapest and her master’s degree in computer science as an EIT ICT Labs student in Trento. | ||
She continued her studies in the Doctoral School of Eötvös Loránd University at the Department of Information Systems. Currently, she is writing her dissertation in the topic of graph neural network interpretability. Her other experiences involve optical character recognition, loan default prediction, detection and classification of sound events and radio network data analytics. | ||

Sharath has been a researcher and data scientist with around 10 years experience in the fields of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision. He has a master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-Madras) wherein he was also collaborating with an R&D organization called Healthcare Technology Research Centre (HTIC) and was involved in research in the fields of Computational Photography and Medical Image Analysis. He has around 8 US patent applications of which 3 have been granted and have several publications in top international ML conferences and journals (such as ICML, ICDM, ISBI, MEDIA, IEEE-TMI, JBHI etc) and has more than 1000 citations according to Google Scholar. He was selected for the 2022 cohort of summer school on ML in Finance at Oxford University. Currently he is working at Ericsson as a Senior Data Scientist and solving various Telecom Network problems using ML, NLP, Generative AI. Previously, he was remotely working for a startup in Croatia which had banks as its major customers and was building applications involving fraudulent transaction prediction, churn prediction etc. Prior to that, he was a founding Data Scientist at an Zasti, IIT-M incubated startup wherein he spearheaded the development of various ML based solutions primarily in the healthcare sector. He has won top places in international and national competitions and hackathons. He was also a junior research fellow at the premier research university- the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), working in the fields of Medical Imaging and Image Processing. |
