Pre-release
  • Bugfix build 1: Fixed an issue where randomized enemies would cause the chest enemy ASM to error. This also fixed the progress bar for when chest textures are off. The settings string has been added to the log.txt as well

New prerelease build after merging with ProfessorLaw's version, as well as some newer changes & settings. If you've played the latest dev build, there's not too much new stuff here, but there are a TON of new stuff since the last stable release

This also serves as a test if LAS v1.0.1 will now work on emulator. The asm patch method has been changed to use .pchtxt for emulators instead of .ips

Windows build only included for now, I will set up github actions to make linux builds for the stable release

New Features:

  • New Settings: OHKO Mode, Nice Items, Blur Removal, Random Enemy Sizes, Chest Type Matches Content, and more!
  • Settings string: Easily share your settings with others, or even randomize them!

Changes:

  • Songs now display Marin/Manbo/Mamu when obtaining them
  • NPCs now hold up the proper model before giving the item
  • Reduced-Farming has been removed and is now baseline behavior
  • A single Bomb/Powder/Arrow now gives 3 of that item
  • Fast-Trendy has been removed and Trendy-Prize-Final is forced vanilla

Bug Fixes:

  • Bombs & Powder can now be obtained properly from other sources
  • Fixed some compatibility issues across settings
  • Fixed some issues when specific items were already obtained
  • Tons of minor bug fixes to improve the gameplay experience

New stable version. Since the last one, lots has changed. And since I'm lazy, I'm just going to list the changes since the last release candidate build.

  • External settings import. Import a settings file to run generation with, without changing your own personal settings
  • Fixed logic error with progressive starting items

The randomizer now makes use of ASM patches. I only test 1.0.0 right now, so play that version if you want the best results

As of this release, the build method has been changed. This is just a test to make sure it runs on other devices without anything extra being needed. I'll write a proper changelog if all is good, but here are the hightlights

  • Fishing Bottle is now randomized
  • Kanalet Final Guard is now randomized
  • New patches tab. Choose some optional ASM patches to be applied. Currently just 1HKO Mode and Lv1 Beam Slash
  • Fixed a bug where Randomized Music and Bad Pets could not be used at the same time
  • Fixed a bug that made it where you could not get bombs or powder from pots with the shuffled settings
  • Fixed a bug where the romfs path required "romfs" in the directory

This is a release candidate build. This means that v0.3.0 is pretty much done, but there may still be bugs that have yet to surface. This build should be stable enough that there shouldn't be any game breaking bugs. Enjoy!

New Features:

  • Added option to update logic
  • Added experimental logic for companions inside dungeons
  • Added option to choose how many rupees to start with
  • Added 2 new traps for trapsanity (5 total)
  • Dampé is now working properly

Changes:

  • The final Trendy prize is now set to junk by default
  • The spoiler log now lists every trap as "trap"
  • Some music tweaks have been made
  • Some enemizer tweaks have been made to 2D rooms

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed issue where powder-capacity would directly give Magic Powder
  • Fixed issue with reloading a save after completing the Rapids Race
  • Fixed softlock from entering water caves early with the Rooster
  • Fixed many issues with Dampé

Known Issues:

  • The fishing bottle check is left vanilla
  • The Ball & Chain Soldier check is left vanilla
  • Small key drops will trigger the compass ringtone regardless of what they are
  • Choosing Shuffled Bombs/Powder permanently sets drops to 0
  • While Trading Quest items work, they will not be displayed in the inventory
  • Dampé lacks logic for instrument shuffle
  • Falling down the TalTal East Drop without Flippers can result in a softlock

  • ASM Patches: Currently just allows opening Color Dungeon with companions
  • Shuffled Dungeons: The in-game map now displays the shuffled dungeon names

  • Removed zol-traps from being on the 5-chest puzzle room to remove confusion
  • Removed featherless Armos Knight from Advanced logic

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed issue where Kiki would remove the Lens from the inventory
  • Fixed issue where the "Fast Fishing" setting would not get saved
  • Fixed issue where slayed enemies could drop bombs and powder out of logic
  • Fixed issue where you could not leave the house if you only chose one starting item
  • Fixed issue where Mabe Village would not show on the map when starting with Cello

New Features:

  • Starting Items tab to toggle which items to start with
  • Witch is now randomized instead of always giving Powder
  • Shuffled Powder: Behaves exactly the same as Shuffled Bombs
  • Shuffled Dungeons: Only includes front entrances, glitched logic not written
  • Bad Pets: Companions will follow you inside dungeons, no logic currently

Changes:

  • GUI makeover! Better on the eyes and easier to find settings
  • Owl Statues added to the Locations tab
  • Color Dungeon Blue Rupees added to the Locations tab
  • Visible items will now trigger the Seashell Sensor, disguised traps will not
  • New implementation of Randomized Music, results in smaller output sizes
  • Chest Sizes tweaks: Fixes Trade Quest items always being in big chests
  • Enemizer tweaks: Fixes sideways enemies and prevents some enemy spam

New:

  • FIXES GOLDEN LEAVES
  • Starting Items (choose what items to start with)
  • Shuffled Powder (Witch is always randomized now, This setting behaves like Shuffled Bombs)
  • Bad Pets (Companions will follow you inside dungeons, no logic currently)
  • New implementation of Randomized Music, it is more robust and the output size is significantly reduced (not fully finished)
  • Required Instruments (Not yet created)
  • Owl Statue locations added to the toggleable locations tab (Not yet created)
  • Small Keys and Standing Items should now trigger the Seashell Sensor, traps will not (only tested with Small Keys currently)

Known Issues:

  • No stress tests have been conducted on starting items yet, unknown if there are issues or not. Small amounts seem fine
  • Bottles not yet included in the starting items
  • Color Dungeon guards still sell Magic Powder with Shuffled Powder on
  • Music that plays through events are not randomized yet and get cut off when entering another zone

As always, this zip will be periodically updated if there are any hotfixes

Changes:

  • Fixes the issue where some seeds would error while shuffling item placements (actually fixed with 0.221 lol)
  • Fixed a logic error regarding access to Kanalet Castle
  • Now you can include/exclude the Kanalet Castle checks. However, the Ball & Chain Soldier check is kept vanilla due to an issue
  • The progress bar for the item shuffler is a bit more accurate now
  • Zapsanity has been changed to Trapsanity, there are now 2 new traps! (3 custom traps)
  • Capacity Upgrades now display the Mad Batter text letting you know about all the junk you have to carry
  • Seashell Mansion no longer gives Green Rupees over traps
  • Golden Rupees will now be in small chests with the Scaled Chests setting on

Issues:

  • The existence of the fishing bottle depends on whether you have the 2nd bottle in your inventory
  • The existence of the Ball & Chain Soldier depends on whether you have the 5th Golden Leaf in your inventory
  • Small key drops, despite giving different items, are still technically speaking small key objects and will trigger the compass ringtone regardless of what they are
  • Choosing Shuffled Bombs sets bomb drops to 0. This will not change even after finding your bombs until I figure out how to change it
  • Dampe does not have proper logic for instrument shuffle, and may result in unbeatable seeds
  • While Trading Quest items work, they will not be displayed in the inventory
  • Enemy Randomization is a very early work in progress. No logic, and needed kills are left vanilla

Now shuffles the Golden Leaves (ball and chain soldier leaf is left vanilla due to a bug) and Slime Key (Talk to the Owl Statue with Shovel)

Overworld and Dungeon Owl Statues are now separate

New setting to match chest sizes with content importance

Issues:

  • Some seeds will fail to properly shuffle items. Just try to generate a different seed for now until this is fixed
