There are two ways to create a vocabulary in Vocabs editor:
1. Import existing skos vocabulary in RDF/XML or TTL format.
- Choose ‘Upload SKOS vocabulary’ on the main page.
- Since SKOS standard allows preferred label in many languages it is mandatory to specify the main language of vocabulary. When vocabulary is imported it will be displayed in a specified language.
2. Create a vocabulary from scratch in Vocabs editor.
- Choose ‘Create Concept Scheme’ on the main page.
- Start creating a vocabulary by filling out metadata about it.
- If vocabulary is multilingual, it is possible to add additional Title, Description, Source and specify their language.
- When Concept Scheme created, start adding Collections and / or Concepts.
- All vocabulary elements can be edited and deleted at any time.
- Change history for each vocabulary element is available on the element’s page under ‘Change history’. Moreover, if the element was wrongfully deleted it can be recovered in an admin interface.
- Each vocabulary can be exported in RDF/XML and TTL formats as well as every single Concept and Collection.
