Battery replacement

bfg100k edited this page Jun 22, 2024 · 1 revision

All batteries have finite lifespan and the one inside the Viomi S9 vacuum is no exception. After just under 2 years of daily usage, my vacuum can no longer complete a vacuuming job of my apartment (59m2) in one charge. I also noticed that when the battery is low (less than 30%), its ability to navigate gets progressively worse. Replacements are readily available either from the official supplier (Panmi in Australia) for AU$60 or ~US$27 on Aliexpress. Here's a picture of the one I picked up from Aliexpress. IMG_6528

Steps to replace battery

  1. Turn vacuum over and undo screw to remove side brush. IMG_6534
  2. Undo 8 screws and remove base plate. IMG_6533
  3. Pull out existing battery and disconnect the cable (press clip while pulling apart). IMG_6529
  4. Insert new battery and connect the cable. IMG_6532
  5. Put back the base plate and install the 8 screws. IMG_6533
  6. Install side brush. IMG_6534
