Battery replacement

All batteries have finite lifespan and the one inside the Viomi S9 vacuum is no exception. After just under 2 years of daily usage, my vacuum can no longer complete a vacuuming job of my apartment (59m2) in one charge. I also noticed that when the battery is low (less than 30%), its ability to navigate gets progressively worse. Replacements are readily available either from the official supplier (Panmi in Australia) for AU$60 or ~US$27 on Aliexpress. Here's a picture of the one I picked up from Aliexpress.

Steps to replace battery

1. Turn vacuum over and undo screw to remove side brush.
2. Undo 8 screws and remove base plate.
3. Pull out existing battery and disconnect the cable (press clip while pulling apart).
4. Insert new battery and connect the cable.
5. Put back the base plate and install the 8 screws.
6. Install side brush.
