Note that some of these programs themselves have additional dependencies of their own.

The scripts also depend on a Python `virtualenv` environment to be set up in the directory where the scripts are located. The virtual environment is assumed to be located in a subdirectory named `env`. The scripts [`archive-in-portico`](archive-in-portico) and [`upload-to-pmc`](upload-to-pmc) contain instructions to activate the virtual Python environment. The installation of the environment is fairly conventional:

virtualenv env
source env/bin/activate
python3 -m pip install microarchiver
```
