The implementation is tracked in PR #42 and is implemented but we have a flaky test, which runs locally but fails in most cases inside github actions.

We investigated this further by attaching to the runner but could not observe the root cause.

CC'ing @vdang-crabnebula to review the related issue #43 together with us once back from vacation.
