Instead of system/DB backup and restore, we need a light way to:

  • Backup/restore metadata (OASIS, Fedora, Hyrax) and associated files
  • Backup/restore initial settings, e.g. workflows, roles, users etc
  • Sync data across servers

The process/tool should be as light as possible, but capable of restoring/cloning data from its original states, e.g. ONLY the original metadata entered and original files uploaded by user.
