Administration area

First go to http://efektivni-altruismus.cz/admin and sign in with credentials you obtained from some of the members of effective altruism CZ organization. You should change the password to something only you know.

You can wonder around the admin area now. Your account has a specific permissions and you may not have an ability to do all actions.

Also, when you go back to efektivni-altruismus.cz, you should see a small icon in bottom right corner of the screen of every page with wagtail logo. When you click on it, you can e.g. edit the current page (if you have a permissions to do so) or get to the admin area.

Structure of project

wagtail has a tree structure of the project. Homepage is the top page and all the others are the children of it. Every children can again have additional children. E.g. children blog has another childrens - individual blog posts.

How to add a blog post

In an admin area, click on Explorer -> an arrow next to Homepage -> Blog. Here you can click on Add child page and then on Add Blog page.

Use paragraph block in BODY part. It supports rich text, links, images etc. In the promote tab you can (and should) specify a feed image (you can use some placeholder - our logo or something).

You can use a Preview button to see how the site/blog is going to log and then either save it as a draft, publish it for moderators or publish it live on the site. There are also Revisions to see changes of individuals.

Adding menu item

1. In explorer, choose the page you want to display in a menu on some page
2. Click on Promote tab and select check box Show in menus.
3. Go to Settings -> Main/Flat Menu -> Add item
4. Here select the page you wanna link to and write a Link text

Q: Post image not showing on the blog index page, even though it is in the body When editing the post, you have to go to Promote tab and there add a feed image.
